The Pedersen bicycle, also called the Dursley Pedersen bicycle, is a bicycle developed by Danish inventor Mikael Pedersen and manufactured in the town of Dursley, England. It has always had a loyal following. It has an unusual build and a distinctive hammock-style seat. Pedersen's bike is one of the most beautiful bikes ever invented in terms of fit, strength and lightness in the frame. It has a different look than other bikes of today. Pedersen received a patent for his bicycle in the UK in the early 1890s and made the first model out of wood. Pedersen Cycle Frame Co. Ltd. and around 30,000 units were produced in the early 1920s, and production ceased for a period. In 1978 Jesper Sølling resumed production in Copenhagen.
